Woman injured in crash

ONE WOMAN WAS rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital this evening after her vehicle careened into a lorry at Hinds Hill, St Michael.

Acting divisional officer at the Barbados Fire Service’s Probyn Street Headquarters, Gordon Boxill, said they received a call around 3:40 p.m.

He told NATION ONLINE the unidentified woman received injuries to her hand and fist and complained of chest pains.

Tony Greaves, driver of the Hinds Transport Services lorry, gave an account of the accident. He said, “She slide and come down the hill”.

He said when he realised the van was coming towards him he slowed the vehicle and braced for the impact. (TG)
