POLICE HAVE ARRESTED and charged Delano Moand Rawlins of Coverley, Christ Church with a number of drug offences.
Members of the Drug Squad allegedly discovered 33 pounds of cannabis concealed in two polythene bags of eddoes when they intercepted a car driven by Rawlins along Brittons New Road, Brittons Hill, St Michael on Monday.
According to police, the drugs were contained in seven taped packages and Rawlins was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Police say a search warrant was executed at Rawlins’ residence and another three taped packages were found. They weighed 21 pounds.
Rawlins is expected to appear in court today charged with two counts of possession of cannabis, two counts of possession with intent to supply and two counts of trafficking. (PR/NB)
