THERE WILL BE No problems concerning payment for the directors and assistants in the National Summer Camps this year, said Minister of Sport and Youth Stephen Lashley.
During the opening ceremony for the finals of the National Summer Camps Sports Day, the minister told the DAILY NATION he did not foresee any problems in this regard, despite it being an almost perennial problem and Government being more cash-strapped than ever.
“No, I don’t see any problems and I haven’t heard of any issues. Everybody will be paid because that’s budgeted,” he said.
Earlier, Lashley gave the media an update on the camps thus far. The programme ends tomorrow.
