SCORES OF ONLOOKERS thronged every vantage point to catch a glimpse of the burial of six-year-old Jahan King at the St Leonard’s Cemetery this afternoon.

But one person who was not present was Jahan’s father, John King, who is still incarcerated in a Canadian jail.

Instead a letter he penned was read to the congregation, moving some to tears.

The funeral service was “attended” by more curious onlookers, many of whom recorded the burial proceedings on their phones, than by official mourners.

Other attendees at the funeral included Finance Minister Christopher Sinckler, Member of Parliament for St Michael West Central James Paul, Senator Pastor David Durant and Opposition Leader Mia Mottley. (HLE)
