FOR MORE than a decade, Lucinda Alleyne has been creating art from what some may deem as trash.
But to her, one man’s trash is truly her treasure as she has won awards at NIFCA for her creations.
The 63-year-old can be found teaching children her craft at the National Summer Camps as she did this year, but no more.
“This is the last time I will be doing a camp for Government. I am going to retire,” she said.
Alleyne was speaking to the WEEKEND NATION recently at the Christ Church Girls Primary School camp. She said she taught recycled craft there as well as at the nearby Milton Lynch Primary School.
