A SANITATION SERVICE Authority truck was stopped dead in its tracks when it ran into a deceptive stretch of mud while doing a collection at Work Hall, St Philip this morning.

The mud which resulted from the yesterday’s showers surprised the driver and crew and their initial efforts to free the vehicle which was sunken to its axle were futile.

Neighbours even chipped in to offer advice and sought help from a nearby tractor driver. Unfortunately his vehicle was down with a flat tyre.

The truck was eventually removed with the help other SSA workers in the area. (JS)
