AS NEWS of the tragic death of 37-year-old Candace Cindy Clarke spread yesterday, her loved ones were reduced to tears but were comforted by how much of a blessing she was to them.

Clarke, familiarly known as Cindy, was the back seat passenger in a car that was involved in a horrific crash with a pick-up on Congo Road, St Philip, yesterday morning.

Officers of the Barbados Fire Service were forced to cut her from the mangled vehicle with the Jaws of Life, but she later died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Cindy’s friend, 49-year-old Michelle Gibson, was a former long-time resident of Black Rock, St Michael, where she operated a popular hair salon.
