VETERAN JOURNALIST Timothy McDonald Slinger and public service vehicle operator Don Winfield Harper walked out of the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today without a burglary charge hanging over their heads.
The case was dismissed by Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant, presiding in Criminal Court No. 2, after prosecutor Sergeant Martin Rock indicated to the Court that instructions had been received that the Director of Public Prosecutions would be discontinuing the matter.
The 62-year-old Slinger who lives at Bartlett’s Tenantry Road, Sargeant’s Village, Christ Church and Harper, 27, who resides at Richmond Gap, St Michael were both accused of entering De Diva Hype Bar as trespassers sometime between March 10 and April 15, this year and stealing $2 361 in drinks belonging to Jacqueline Proverbs.
