Fogging programme continues this week

THE VECTOR CONTROL Unit of the Ministry of Health continues its efforts to eradicate the Aedes Aegypti mosquito next week when its fogging programme moves into several parishes.

On Monday, September 7, the areas to be fogged in St Philip will be Apple Hall, Peat Bay, Merricks, Coles Road, Coles Terrace, Content Cot and Inch Cape Terrace. Also on that day, the team will visit Grazettes, Denton Road, Rockhampton Road, Piedmont Park, Long Gap and environs in St Michael.

On Tuesday, September 8, the team will be in St Thomas, St Andrew and Christ Church and will fog Farmers, Church Gap, Hillaby, Moses Bottom, Turners Hall, White Hill, Rendezvous Ridge, Rendezvous Gardens, Amity Lodge, St Lawrence Road, Harmony Hall and surrounding areas.

Fogging continues in St Peter and St James on Wednesday, September 9, when Maynards Development, Sunset Heights, Heywoods Park, Husbands, Rick’s Road, Independent Drive, Husbands Gardens, Oxnards Heights and neighbouring districts will be targeted.

On Thursday, September 10, the team will be in St Michael, St Thomas and St James, spraying Lodge Terrace, Eden Lodge Housing Area, Hoytes Village, Bagatelle Terrace, Bagatelle Yard, Bennetts, Arch Hall, Seaview and environs.

 They will return to St Michael and St James on Friday, September 11 to fog West Terrace Avenues 3 to 16, Oxnards, Haynesville, Cane Garden Park, Canewood Road, Jackson, Jackson Terrace, Jackson Tenantry and surrounding areas.

Fogging will take place daily between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Householders are reminded to open their doors and windows to allow the spray to enter.  (BGIS)
