PM Stuart to tour affected areas in Dominica

PRIME MINISTER FREUNDEL STUART will leave the island tomorrow to tour the areas in Dominica hardest hit by Tropical Storm Erika.

Stuart, who is also Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), will be accompanied by Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force, Colonel Alvin Quintyne and Executive Director of the Regional Security System (RSS) Grantley Prescod. freundelstuart18

The Prime Minister will be met on arrival by Prime Minister of Dominca, Roosevelt Skerrit; CARICOM Secretary General, Irwin LaRocque; Commander Aquinas Clarke of the RSS; representatives of Dominica’s Emergency Disaster Response Agency and other officials.

Following an aerial and land tour of the affected areas, Stuart will also take the opportunity to meet with the Barbadian troops assisting with relief efforts in Dominica.

On Wednesday night, Prime Minister Stuart will hold a press briefing in the Grace Adams Suite of the Grantley Adams International Airport at 8:15 p.m. (BGIS)
