WORKERS AT THE Central Bank of Barbados continued their protest for a fourth day, today.

And the matter which had resulted in the industrial unrest remained unresolved, said general secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union Toni Moore.

She said the union had not been updated by the management of the Central Bank on any change in their position.

The BWU boss said the bank had been accused of promoting an intern without following standard procedure, and the union has asked that the position be withdrawn.

Moore said the bank appeared not to be taking the situation seriously and they were considering intensifying the industrial action.

The executive council will be meeting this evening and other arms of the BWU could be called out. (LT)
