Charges laid for recent robberies

POLICE HAVE FORMALLY charged a number of persons in relation to several recent criminal acts.

These include the robbery at A&C Security, Sol Service Station at Redman’s Village, St Thomas, Curb Side Café and Tapas Restaurant.  

A sum of money and a number of firearms were recovered in relation to these investigations.

A&C Security Aggravated Burglary Investigation

Leopold Alexander Scantlebury, 30 years, of Orange Hill, St  James and Germaine Harte, 32 years of Pleasant Hall Land, St Matthias, Christ Church have been jointly charged for the offence of aggravated burglary.

Kyle Tyrone Hamblin, 20, #36 Jessamy Avenue, Bayville, St Michael, was charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

Jermaine Jamal Bynoe, 28, and Keshane Jabarry Bynoe 20, of Sand Box Avenue Bayville St Michael, were each charged with the offence of handling stolen property

Jamar Sylvester Prescod, 27, of Church Hill, Christ Church, was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Sol Service Station Aggravated Burglary Investigation

Leopold Alexander Scantlebury 30 years of Orange Hill, St James and Germaine Antonio Harte 32 years of Apartment #2 Pleasant Hall Land, St Matthias, Christ Church have been jointly charged with the offence of aggravated burglary and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Curb Side Café Robbery

Samantha Jack, 32, of Brathwaites Gap, Dayrells Road, Christ Church; Leopold Scantlebury, 30, of Orange Hill, St James; Stephen Streeks, 38, of 1st Avenue, St Matthias, Christ Church and Germaine Harte, 32 years of Apt 2 Pleasant Hall Land, St Matthias, Christ Church, were jointly charged with the offence of robbery.

Tapas Aggravated Burglary Investigation

Leopold Alexander Scantlebury, 30, of Orange Hill, St James and Germaine Antonio Harte, 32, of Apartment # 2 Pleasant Hall Land, St Matthias, Christ Church, were jointly charged with the offence of aggravated burglary.

Leopold Alexander Scantlebury has been charged with the offence of wounding.

Stephen Antonio Streeks has been charged with the offence of handling stolen property.

Germaine Harte has been charged with the offences of handling stolen property and conspiracy to commit the offence of aggravated burglary. (PR)
