Mothers’ Union gives to school

THE BARBADOS MOTHERS’ Union has lent a helping hand to George Lamming Primary with a recent donation of bags and stationery to the Flint Hall, St Michael school.

President Iris Harewood said one of their goals was to promote stable family life and the protection of children in the Barbadian society.

She added that the Mothers Union also offered breakfast to three City schools and assisted parents with back to school items.

Principal Rosalind Goodridge, in thanking the Mothers Union, said the church and schools must continue to work together in the interest of the nation’s children.
