Two plead guilty, awaiting sentencing

TWO MEN ARE SCHEDULED to return to court on Monday for sentencing in connection with the theft of several pieces of equipment in the north and the south of the island.

Lee Sebastian Medford, 34, of Prescott Bottom, Bank Hall St Michael and 22-year-old Gary Obrian Chandler of Parish, Land Christ Church both pleaded guilty when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch at the District ‘C’ Court yesterday.

They both requested Magistrate Birch adjudicate the matter and pleaded guilty to all 17 counts of theft and burglary. They were remanded to HMP Dodds.

The Royal Barbados Police Force thanked members of the public who visited the District ‘E’ Police Station to identify property during these investigations. 

Members of the public who may have had items such as power washers, garden tools, weed whackers or lawn mowers stolen in recent months are invited to visit the District ‘E’ Police to identify remaining equipment. (PR/SAT)
