THE NATIONAL Cultural Foundation (NCF) will stage a drive-a-thon in aid of Caribbean neighbour Dominica which was ravaged by Tropical Storm Erika.

At the launch of the event dubbed The Road to Recovery, NCF Chief Executive Officer Cranston Browne said the intention of the October 3 drive is to get Barbadians to give back.

In meeting the locals where they are, various entertainers will be performing and encouraging the communities to help Dominicans.

NCF Senior Business Development Officer Alison Sealy -Smith said the route would take in all 11 parishes. It is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

Twelve vehicles – including trucks and vans – would be a part of the convoy to collect the donated items. It is coordinated by Cheryl Welch. (MR)
