BALIFFS MOVED IN and closed down one of the booths at the Fairchild Street Bus Terminal yesterday.
George Alleyne and Aliontaire Bubardo pounced about 3 p.m. after the tenant was several months behind on the monthly $297 fee.
It was the first of two enforced closures that the bailiffs are expected to carry out between now and the end of next week as they crack down on delinquent tenants of the booths owned by the Transport Board.
But when the bailiffs arrived they did not find the tenant as listed on their documents and assigned to that booth. Instead they were greeted by Alexis Douglas, who said that Agnes Hood, the original tenant, was not in the island. (AC)
