Shiv joins Dominica Rally

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Shivnarine Chanderpaul has joined to the list of players to participate in the “Rally ‘Round Dominica” charity match today. 

He will be playing for the West Indies Cricket Board’s President’s XI against the University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s Celebrity XI in the match organised to raise funds for the people of Dominica.

The Twenty20 match begins at 7 p.m. at the historic Kensington Oval.

Each side will field current players from the West Indies team preparing for next month’s tour of Sri Lanka and a number of celebrity players.

They include West Indies legend Brian Lara, former Trinidad & Tobago and Manchester United football star Dwight Yorke and Jamaican Olympic medallist Yohan Blake.

New West Indies Women’s captain Stafanie Taylor and teammate Deandra Dottin, as well as UWI Vice Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, are also expected to make appearances during the match.
