Young Stars, KPR advance to semis

MARK YOUNG STARS and King’s Park Rangers (KPR) are the last two teams to qualify for tonight’s semi-finals of the Franklin Lawn Care And A Class Battery Service Out A Season Football Tournament.

Playing in front of one of the biggest crowds of the tournament at the Wayne Daniel Sports Complex, Brereton, St Philip, Tuesday night, KPR beat Camp Nou 2-1 while the Young Stars whipped Central League Spartans 2-0 in the final two quarter-final matches.

Norrin Corbin wasted no time and hit the back of the Camp Nou nets as early as the second minute to be the leading goal scorer with five goals. Ian Burke made it 2-0 in the 13th minute while Akeem Blackman got  Camp Nou’s lone goal in the 21st minute. (EZS)
