ATTORNEY GENERAL Adriel Brathwaite has warned young Barbadian men and women to beware of recent newspaper advertisements offering them opportunities to see the world.

At a meeting with the media at his Wildey office hours ago, government’s chief legal advisor said: “I believe you should respond to that kind of advertisement with caution.”

He suggested in some instances it might be a lure that could see the respondent ending up as a victim of human trafficking.

Brathwaite identified this as a form of modern day slavery, which was proving to be a more lucrative criminal activity than it was 300 years ago.

He appealed to the media to assist in sensitising young men and women to the types of human trafficking that exists. (GC)
