FLOW SENTRY BROKERS DEACONS women and Flow Deacons men scored similar four-sets wins when the Goddard Enterprises Limited Division One volleyball action was restarted on Monday night at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

A number of events at the gym had disrupted the 2015 league. However, in the lone women’s match Deacons maintained their bid for  double crown glory by coming from  a set down to defeat Toners 24-26,  25-19, 25-15, 25-18.

The experience of Deacons’ Julia Lewis, Fabia Greaves and Sharleen Browne held off a valiant effort from Toners’ young players.

Deacons men, who are in with a good chance of capturing the league, endured  a tough duel before getting the better  of defending champions Chargers 25-23, 25-21, 21-25, 29-27.
