TWO CHRIST CHURCH men have been remanded to prison after appearing in court charged with the August 25 robbery at the Rubis Service Station at the Villages at Coverley.
They are 21-year-old Neil Miguel Eversley of Dolphin Park and 19-year-old Shaquille Omar Beckles of St Patrick’s.
They face joint charges of assault with intent to rob and robbery.
Beckles faces an additional charge of possession of cannabis, while Eversley faces additional charges of burglary and the theft of a motor car.
They appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch at the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ court today and were not required to plead to the indictable offence of robbery .
They will reappear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on November 27 on that charge.
However, Eversley and Beckles pleaded guilty to the separate cannabis, burglary and theft charges and are expected to reappear at the District ‘C’ Court on November 5 for sentencing, pending a presentencing report. (PR/NB)
