BARBADOS WILL BE SERVING UP some home cooking after all.

At least the country’s Davis Cup squad can look forward to home court advantage in their do-or-die tie at the end of the month, as the Barbados Tennis Association (BTA) eventually opted to host the all-important relegation rubber against Uruguay.

Vice-president Sandra Osborne confirmed the decision yesterday after the BTA weighed the financial consequences of staging a third Group I tie this year.

“Initially we were not sure about hosting but we made this decision right after the last tie because it has taken a huge toll on us financially as we are about to stage our sixth straight tie in two years,” Osborne disclosed.
