Fogging in six parishes this week

THE MINISTRY of Health’s Vector Control Unit will target six parishes this week, when it continues its fogging programme between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day.

On Monday, October 19, the fogging team will visit the following areas in St James and St Michael: Risk Road, Berbice, Fitts Village, Prospect, Prospect Ridge, Crusher Site Road, Black Rock, Spring Garden with Avenues, Retreat Terrace, Brighton, Pile Bay and environs.

The team will journey to St Philip and St John on Tuesday, October 20, and will spray Ruby Park, Seaview, Union Development, Ruby Tenantry, Parish Land, Mount Pleasant Gardens, Station Hill, Massiah Street, Stewart Hill, Rose Gate and surrounding areas.

On Wednesday, October 21, fogging will take place in the northern parishes of St Lucy and St Peter where Crab Hill, Crab Hill Development, Grape Hall, Avis Town, Greenidges, Queen’s Street, Archers Lane, Bovell Road, Mango Lane, Chapel Street, Major Walk and environs will be fogged.

On Thursday, October 22, the fogging team will again visit St James and fog the districts of Layne’s Road, Paynes Bay, Holders Hill, Bamboo Ridge, Holders Terrace, Thorpe’s Terrace, Durant’s Village, Chapel Road, Clarkes Road, Appleby Gardens and surrounding areas.

 Fogging will culminate on Friday, October 23, in the St James and St Michael districts of Oxnards, Tulip Drive, Croton Drive, Apple Walk, Violet Circle, Crystal Heights, Clermont, Warrens, Welches Grove and environs.

Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the fog to penetrate, while persons with respiratory problems should protect themselves from inhaling the fog. Children should be discouraged from running behind the fogging vehicle. (BGIS)
