THE CENTRAL FOCUS yesterday was on a Kingsland, Christ Church apartment as a St James family remained determined to find missing teenager Emela John.

After police from the Oistins Station carried out a search and found no trace of her, they broadened their investigations to include enquiries at a neighbouring supermarket and other residences.

Emela’s mother, Tracy Lawrence, said she was anxious not knowing if her daughter was alive, adding that all she wanted was to be reunited with her 18-year-old.

The owner of the Kingsland apartment told police she was not even aware of Emela taking up residence there, but was annoyed when she realised it had been sublet to the teen by two guys who were staying in the building. (MR)
