VETERAN ENTERTAINER Wayne Poonka Willock has penned a song especially for Independence. The track, titled In Dependence, is set for release tomorrow.
“In an atmosphere where there is so much emphasis on Christmas, even in the month of November, I thought it would be prudent to produce a song that brings some measure of attention and urgency to the matter of Independence and what it is all about. What it is supposed to be,” Poonka told the SATURDAY SUN.
He said he had already heard some Christmas ads and information suggests that some stations have already added some Christmas songs to the programming.
Poonka said the song has been deliberately broken down into two words to get across the idea that no one, or anything is ever totally independent.
