Pride close day on 262 for 2

CAPTAIN KRAIGG BRATHWAITE stroked yet another century as Barbados Pride made a very encouraging start to the West Indies Cricket Board Professional Cricket League Four Day Tournament at Kensington Oval today.

At stumps, Pride were 262 for two, with Brathwaite unbeaten on 111. Shamar Brooks was the other not out batsman on 49.

Earlier, opener Kyle Corbin fell for 13 and Brathwaite put on a 131-run partnership with Shai Hope, who scored 77. Nikita Miller and John Campbell were the wicket takers.

Brathwaite was one of two century makers on the opening day of this year’s competition. The other was Guyana Jaguars’ Rajindra Chandrika who is unbeaten on 140 against Windward Islands Volcanoes.
