A PERSONAL century, the Player-Of-The match award and a comprehensive win for the team made Barbados Pride captain Kraigg Brathwaite a happy man yesterday afternoon after the conclusion of the first match of the WICB Professional Cricket League against Jamaica Scorpions at Kensington Oval.
Brathwaite occupied the crease for the entire first day to steer his side to 262 for two before being dismissed early the second morning for a match-high 111, notching a 14th first-class century in the process.
Barbados Pride eventually won the match by ten wickets in the first session of the final day after dismissing the Scorpions for 189 and 187 in reply to their own 373 in the first innings and knocking off the token four runs they were set for victory, without loss.
For the skipper, though, the success of the team brought the most satisfaction. (WH)
