MORE BARBADIAN MALES are coming forward to be tested for sexually transmitted infections and it has been suggested that their partners are a major factor in the decision.

At an open day yesterday at the Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic culminating a week of activities for World Diabetes Day, counsellor Adrian Gooding said almost an equal number of men and women are having tests done.

Gooding highlighted it as a “major success’” and gave kudos to those women who have been encouraging their partners to get tested.

During the open day, several members of the public took the opportuntity to receive a number of health tests. (MR)
