BARBADOS’ QUEEN of bikini fitness Shakira Doughlin crowned a regal 2015 with a stunning capture of the Wesley Barrow Bodybuilding Regional title in Antigua and Barbuda last weekend.
Doughlin took part in Mr and Ms Bridgetown, the Darcy Beckles Classic, Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Championships in The Bahamas, The Sports World Classic in Trinidad and Tobago and local nationals, with only a second placement at the CAC denying the queen all gold.
However, during a break from her teaching at Deacons Primary, Doughlin indicated that her victory in Antigua was bittersweet.
“Of course, I felt great to capture another title for my country and myself, but I felt sad that it was my final event for the year,” she told MIDWEEK SPORT. (KB)
