SALTFISH was on everyone’s lips Sunday night on Dover hardcourt, as they dished out a healthy helping of hockey action to their opponents Strike Force in the final of the inaugural Wonder Barbados Hockey 5s Tournament.

The match got off to a slow start, but picked up in the second quarter with Saltfish’s Jemar Small scoring the first goal, which was swiftly answered by Strike Force’s Allison Archer, who tied the game 1-1 at the end of the second quarter.

A few minutes later, Saltfish went ahead again at 2-1 courtesy Dexter Clarke but Strike Force got the equaliser in the fourth quarter from teh stick of Mark Murray.

With both teams searching for the winner, the energy on the court reached boiling point and Strike Force’s Joel Bobkin received a yellow card for his aggressive play towards Saltfish’s Che Warner. (SOM)
