WEST TERRACE’s run is no more.
The defending champs were knocked out of the Guardian Group Herman Griffith Primary Schools’ Cricket Competition yesterday after suffering a 102-run quarter-final defeat at the hands of the tournament’s most successful team, Wesley Hall.
Playing at Dover, Dario Worrell top-scored with 69 as Wesley Hall amassed 162 for five off their allotted 25 overs. Edwin Barnett added 37 while Romaine Mayers and Joshua Morris scored 17 and 12, respectively.
West Terrace never mounted a serious challenge, losing wickets at regular intervals to be bowled out for just 60 in 18.2 overs. Mayers returned with the ball to take four for ten, while Morris had two wickets for 11 runs.
Wesley Hall will face first time semi-finalists St Cyprian’s Boys’ at Friendship on Wednesday while former kings Bayley’s will journey from St Philip to Trents, St James to play St Stephen’s in the day’s other semi-final.
