THE POLYCLINIC at the newly opened David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex in St John will ease some of the pressure on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
Minister of Health John Boyce said the newest facility brings the number of polyclinics on the island to nine. He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the new multipurpose, multimillion dollar complex at the Glebe Land, St John on Friday evening. He said the nine primary care facilities were the first point of contact for people requiring health care as they delivered diagnostic, curative and rehabilitative services, non-acute care and some aspects of urgent care. (HLE)
