THE CHAMPIONS folded like cards as batting all-rounder Kenroy Williams showed his spin-bowling value with a six-wicket haul to bowl Brathwaite Construction Crane Resorts St Catherine to a comprehensive 114-run victory over Sierka Maple in their Sagicor General Super Cup cricket quarter-final yesterday.

Williams captured six for 30 with his under-rated off breaks, triggering a dramatic middle order collapse as Maple capitulated from 46 without loss to 90 all out in 32.3 overs, in pursuit of St Catherine’s total of 204 in 49.3 overs.

Left-arm spinner, Damian Browne, who conceded just 19 runs off his ten overs, broke the opening stand, having Shane Ramsay caught by his brother Dario Browne at long off for 20. Then Williams, whose career-best Cup bowling is six for 15 against Pickwick, spun a web around the Maple batsmen.
