MINISTER OF FINANCE Chris Sinckler is not against Dr Maria Agard joining the ranks of the Democratic Labour Party (DLP).
In fact, he said the option was open to the Christ Church West MP, who was expelled from the Opposition Barbados Labour Party (BLP) last Sunday, once she could abide by the principles of the Freundel Stuart-led party.
He said if Agard chose to go that route, she would not be the first politician to change sides.
“Mass-based parties are just that, they’re mass-based parties. They’re open to anybody to join and anybody to leave. The door is always open for those who want to come in and those who want to go out. We operate a big tent policy in political mass-based parties,” the St Michael North West MP told the media yesterday on the sidelines of the St Michael Battle Of The West Independence Quiz finals.
