AN INSURANCE BROKER is taking being broke to a whole new level. The man, who has alienated almost all of his customers, his dear mother, and his son, is struggling to put the pieces back together after his wife pulled stumps on him recently.
This was after he rushed into the welcoming arms of a non-national and gave her some authority. This woman has added a new touch to his business in order to woo back customers.
This new policy of sprinkling obeah water around the building and chanting songs to invoke the blessings of the gods does not, however, seem to be working since it seems to has struck a chord with bailiffs who are almost weekly knocking down his door for outstanding monies.
P&S has been told that many mornings, before the business opens, this woman, who is steeped in voodoo, could be seen putting things in place to pull in potential customers with her dirty practices.
Secretary too slick
A MAN who suffered a domestic setback after a car came crashing into his premises is crying long tears after being dealt a financial blow by an attorney’s secretary.
The man, who was not sure of his legal rights, ventured into the office of an attorney and spoke to the secretary about taking action against the driver of the vehicle with the hope of getting legal aid. The secretary, who said it was not a matter for which he could get legal aid, still proceeded to take the man’s last $100 bill that was showing from his top pocket, informing him that as he had this money she would call the offending party who refused to pay the poor father.
Months have passed, and don’t care how dad tries to get satisfaction or his money back from this secretary, she won’t budge. She repeatedly refuses to let him speak to the attorney, claiming that he is not in office.
Break-up gone to her head
A WOMAN whose job it is to make customers happy, is succeeding in this department, but disappointing at home.
So bad is the situation that she is now looking to the sky for help. Her husband, who sees himself as a bedroom bully, has walked away from her and is seeking his pleasure in a lane where there is much sand.
Wifey, who P&S has been told is consumed by the entire episode, has walked into the arms of a bisexual after being dumped. She has been accused of keeping an unclean house and not being able to cook.
She is now, however, making a concerted effort to rekindle the fire by visiting the nail salon on a regular basis and getting more hairdos done than her head can tolerate.
Under master’s nose
THE MASTERS in Trinidad must be really angry with their servants in Barbados. The talk all across Barbados is how a servant could have been employed in the master’s house without anyone checking to see that she had the correct credentials.
This woman, last seen walking on Spring Garden Highway, was in the master’s chamber and all around the house before an inquisitive bookkeeper raised an alarm that she did not have the papers to work as a senior servant inside the house.
While it is true that the woman only got away for one month, the talk in the supermarkets, at the pharmacies, in the insurance company, in Warrens and Worthing, up Sargeant’s Village and many other places on this isle of Bim is that she could never have gotten away with it at her former workplace. Exactly.
The master’s servants say this development was all but amazing, given that the slightest mistake they make in the house, they are penalised. Some people say it will be interesting to see the reaction from the bossman at the master’s house, who can often be found at Warners in Bim. So whether you are in Sunset Crest, Lower Broad Street or Oistins, stand by.
