NUMBER ONE Mark “Venom” Griffith will be hunting a three-peat and second-ranked Julian “Michael Jackson” White will be looking for his first title when the Massy United Insurance Clash Of The Titans road tennis finals are staged on Sunday, December 13, at the Netball Stadium.

These two giants will be playing for an early Christmas gift of the $12 000 first prize after they predictably reached the finals in blazing sun on Independence Day at the Netball Stadium.

The finals were to be staged on Monday night, but persistent rain caused the delay of the A class semi-finals on Saturday and Sunday night, and after the two finalists completed their fixtures late on Monday afternoon, the organisers decided to postpone the finals.

Unfortunately, the organisers, the Professional Road Tennis Association (PRTA), had to vacate the Netball Stadium by yesterday. (KB)
