DESPITE a nine-wicket loss to defending champions Guyana Jaguars in the last round of the Regional Professional Cricket League’s first-class championship at the Providence Stadium, Barbados Pride are keeping faith with the same players.
The selectors yesterday named an unchanged 13-man squad to travel to St George’s for the Pride’s fourth-round match against the Windward Islands Volcanoes starting Friday at the Grenada National Stadium.
Barbados’ bowling generally lacked penetration against the Jaguars, who amassed a first innings total of 337 after suffering a middle- and lower-order collapse, losing their last six wickets for 35 runs.
Stand-in captain Kevin Stoute has led Barbados’ bowling with 13 wickets in three matches at a miserly average of 12.53 runs for each scalp, while swing bowler Miguel Cummins has taken nine wickets at 25.33 in the three matches. (PR/EZS)
