Abduction story ‘fabricated’

SOME SECURITY OFFICERS at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Cave Hill Campus, are fuming over what they claim was a concocted abduction report made recently by a student.

Last month a Dominican who has since reportedly returned home, said that while she was walking to her Wanstead, St James home on November 12, she was hit at the back of her head with a blunt object and dragged into a bushy area.

The 23-year-old, who was attached to the law faculty at the time, claimed she was brutally assaulted, her clothes ripped apart, jewellery as well as other possessions stolen, and was bound and gagged with duct tape as she begged for her life to be spared.
