ST GEORGE’S – Barbados Pride put themselves in a strong position to press for victory against Windward Islands Volcanoes after Roston Chase and Shamarh Brooks carved out half-centuries on the third day of their WICB Professional Cricket League match at the National Stadium yesterday.
Building on the advantage they secured over the first two days, Barbados Pride extended their second innings to 261 for seven declared to set the home team a challenging target of 379.
Given 15 overs to survive until the close, Windward Islands Volcanoes reached 40 without loss but face a tall order to bat out the final day and deny Barbados Pride a win.
