FLOW BARBADOS has come on board in this season of giving with the initiative to make the wishes of the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) come true.
At a Press conference at the BOA’s headquarters yesterday, Flow signed a five-year contract to provide the Olympic body with $500 000 to ensure the development of local sports.
BOA president Steve Stoute said the partnership was a very profitable one which was greatly appreciated, revealing it was the first time in the BOA’s history that it had benefited from such a lucrative agreement with the private sector.
He said he believed that more private businesses should take the step in financing sports.
“I plead that there be more private sector investment in sport in this country, which is an essential component in the creation of a vibrant sports structure,” said Stoute. (RG)
