RUN BARBADOS big gun is coming back next year. Even if the big bucks don’t.
Kenyan runner Richard Kessio is ready to run Barbados again, having already confirmed his participation for the 2016 series after explaining that his absence this year was a mere mishap and had nothing to do with the drastic cutback in prize money.
“Oh yeah, sure [I’ll be back] . . . Barbados has been like my home,” said the 41-year-old veteran when asked about returning to the Run Barbados festival in an interview with NATIONSPORT.
“I didn’t know if we were going to be invited until actually [Thursday] morning when [marketing director] Kristina [Evelyn] told me that they had tried reaching me but they couldn’t, and she told me that they were [the] new organisation for 2015.”
