HE TOOK THE Ministry of Education and The Lodge School to court and that was the beginning of his problems.

This was the contention of general secretary of the Unity Workers’ Union, Caswell Franklyn, as he explained the situation that led to Queen’s College teacher Wismar Gibson being “unceremoniously kicked off the school’s premises” by officials.

Franklyn said that on November 18, Gibson turned up for work as normal and, while going to teach a class, was summoned to the principal’s office.

He was reportedly told to leave the premises because of his alleged refusal to accept the terms of an employment contract, which he contends did not accurately represent the job he applied for or the terms he agreed to during the interview. (LK)
