“LEADING BY example”. That’s the word from double Barbados Rally Club (BRC) champion driver Rhett Watson as he confirmed his entry for Sol Rally Barbados 2016.
He is among nearly 60 entries so far received by the BRC with five months to go before entries close for the June 3 to June 5 event, which will be preceded by scrutineering and King Of The Hill, May 28 to 29.
Watson, who made a clean sweep of titles at stake in SuperModified 12 class and the two-wheel drive championship and placed seventh overall in Sol Rally Barbados this year, will have co-driver James Hutchinson for the big event at the wheel of the BMW M3.
“The car is virtually in pieces and being repaired and refreshed for the upcoming season under the watchful eye of Peter Hinkson and my ‘works’ is at work, and when they are done, Kurt Ward will do the finishing touches,” Watson said.
