PLEASE ALLOW ME a short response to Bishop Vibert Lowe’s letter that appeared in the Weekend Nation of December 18, in which he said he “can’t support the gay lifestyle”.
No, Bishop Lowe, you don’t have to, neither do you need to endorse the “fire and brimstone” damnation of your Bible on your fellow brethren and sisters. Are they not all God’s children?
The unmistakable vehemence and scorn in your article reflects not your professed Christianity.
No, no, Bishop Lowe, a sphincter is not a vagina (and thank heavens, it’s not) and is surely not what you purport it to be. For your enlightenment, a sphincter is a mostly circular ring of muscle governing the entrance to, and/or exit from, the natural orifices or cavities of the body. It does this involuntarily by impulse to contract or relax.
A sphincter does not get rid of the body’s waste as you so firmly infer. It facilitates both the exit and the retention of the waste as required.
B’glad you are not citing your physiology papers and be careful how you misinform your followers, for this is but a small example of untruths readily accepted in blind faith.
