Busy day for stores

OUT-OF-TOWN malls were bursting yesterday as people rushed to complete their Christmas shopping.

At Sheraton Centre, Abed’s, technology store iShop and toy stores appeared to be doing best of all.

“We are running specials for the 12 days of Christmas, so people are getting their iPads, such as the new Air 2, the Mini 4 and the Pro; iPods and iPhones like the 5S, 6 and 6S,” said iShop’s marketing assistant Lee Springer.

He said technology was taking over from items such as watches and jewellery and cost was no object.
