Santa Gina makes merry for charity

FESTIVE MUSIC blasts from a roadside speaker and excited children scream “Santa, Santa”.

The frenzied Christmas traffic comes to a crawl as the gaily-clad mascot of Christmas rushes up to vehicle after vehicle to give a wave, a “ho ho ho” and a Christmas treat to the young occupants.

This was the scene at the Worthing/ Rendezvous, Christ Church junction on nights leading up to Christmas, as one woman with a love for children led the charge in an exercise that undoubtedly brought smiles to many faces and joy to many hearts.

Behind the white beard and the red suit, graphic artist and photographer Gina DeSouze was having fun doing something dear to her heart.
