Subcontractors ‘left in the cold’

SUBCONTRACTORS for Massy Distribution have been ticketed by the company, and they do not like it.

Users of the Spring Garden Highway were greeted with an unusual sight yesterday, when they passed the Massy Distribution Centre and saw parked, white trucks across the street from that building.

The subcontractors told the DAILY NATION yesterday that was the first day of several changes for them, which included a ticket system and a new parking designation.

They said while they were familiar with the ticketing system, which was implemented last year, they were told on Friday and again yesterday morning that they would no longer be allowed to park within the compound and were parked across the street with only six trucks allowed in the compound to load at any time.
