A PLEA has gone out for Barbadians to “go fund” Ikhari Hinds-Lewis.

The 16-year-old is in the Intensive Care Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) undergoing treatment for a brain injury he sustained just over a week ago when he was struck by a car.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help his mother Kassim Hinds cover medical costs and daily living costs she will incur while Ikhari, who is in a medically-induced coma, is being treated. So far the account has raised US$2 000 (BDS$4 000) but the family is hoping for at least US$10 000 (BDS$20 000).
