STAFF AT THE Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) yesterday demonstrated that they are determined  to stand up for what they want.

Armed with placards in hand, the workers were riled up and shouting chants well before the scheduled midday protest in the car park started. And they became even louder around 12:10 p.m. when president of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), Akanni McDowall, arrived.

After a word of prayer and a burst of chants led by McDowall, the workers started circling the car park.
