I WATCHED in disgust the Opposition Leader up and down Barbados stirring up strife over water woes, and saying if the Government asks her, she has the expertise to fix it, yet is not politically motivated. What nonsense!
I deeply sympathise with those folks who suffered severely. Why can’t the same effort that was shown to Dominica not be done to those parishes hit hardest? We have to learn to begin at home.
All St Lucy plantations have wells, all they need is a pump and the answer is fixed.
Let me name a few; Crab Hill, Hope, Bright Hall, Friendship and Bromefield plantations. When you are driving, you can’t pass the road because of big irrigation pipes wetting grass. Mia does not have Moses’ rod that she will strike the earth and water will gush out. What she should do is to organise some truckers and help in those areas, until it reaches a satisfying position. She is not helping in any way.
Stop trying to persuade those people you care so much about, but yet not one bottle of water you can be seen giving a child.
This is Barbados and we should begin at home. So the same effort we had for our neighbours, show those of your household. This is not political propaganda.
